First of all, we at Catholics' Connection want to thank you for your willingness to share your story with the Catholic community in San Antonio and elsewhere. We know that it is usually not very easy to tell others the details of your faith journey and prayer experiences. Please know that others who are at various stages of their life and journey will tremendously benefit from your story. If your words help only one person to draw closer to God, it will be more than worth it. Especially if that one person is you.
In writing stories of conversion or of an answered prayer (yours or a loved one), please consider the following:
- Stories should be from a Catholic perspective: conversion to Catholicism, reversion to the Church, prayer intercession, etc.
- Anonymity is requested and maintained; select an appropriate nickname or 'handle' for yourself.
- Tell your story in your own words; don't worry that you're not a professional writer. Your own words make for a more powerful witness.
- Given the online limitations, try to condense your story to a length of no more than about 1,000 words (or so).
- For conversions; you may wish to briefly discuss your life before, reasons for, help from, words from, example by, life situation when, process of, places of, duration of, stumbling blocks, journey aids, changes made, life after, continuing efforts, etc.
- For answered prayers; you may wish to briefly discuss the prayer issue, type of prayer, place of, duration of, saints invoked, help from, how answered, life after, changed lives, etc.
